War on the Middle Class

An excellent post at Daniel Greenfield's blog. Here's the gist of the article:

Amnesty is a declaration of war by big government and big business against the American middle class. It is a statement that they have no room for the middle class in their vision of the country.

Truer words never were spoken. I highly recommend the whole article.

This part really caught my eye:
"Big government is still promising that a college degree will turn anyone into a member of the middle class, but that's a myth meant to subsidize the government-academia complex which has dumped a huge burden of debt on the children of the middle class while handing out worthless degrees to all comers. The debt is real, the jobs aren't."

Quite true.
A college degree doesn't guarantee a job, much less a well-paying job. When my wife was in pharmacy school,(1990-1996) almost everyone in her class had a job waiting for them upon graduation. It's down to 40-50% now.
Thanks for posting the link. Very informative.
