He mumbled a little prayer and moved his mouse, placing the arrow over the words "Animate Matters" topping his Favorites list.

He swallowed and closed his eyes.

His hand shook.

He left-clicked and peeked at the website, fearing the worst.

"Well, I'll be a Darwinian's uncle!" he screamed. He leapt out of his chair and wobbled the cubicle wall back and forth with both hands. "He finally posted something new!"

He gazed around and noted panicked expressions on the other office drones' faces.

"Um, I'm sorry," he said, straightening his bow tie. "But he hasn't written anything in over two weeks. Withdrawal, you know."

The nearest desk jockey tsked and shook his head. "What's the world coming to?" he inquired of the nude woman offering him a "come hither" look from his monitor screen.
